ALPPS vs. Two-Stage Hepatectomy RCT

Welcome to the "ALPPS vs. TSH for CRLM" - RCT Platform!

Associating Liver Partition with Portal vein ligation for Staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) versus Two-Stage Hepatectomy (TSH) for marginally resectable colorectal liver metastases – a multicentric, randomized controlled trial.

This multi-institutional trial is open to all centers participating in the registry who have included a minimum of 5 cases.

Zurich, the 17^th April 2016

The department of visceral- & transplantation surgery at the university hospital of Zurich is glad to announce, that approval of the local Cantonal Ethics Committee (KEK) / Institutional Review Board (IRB) was finally obtaind in February 2016 for our "ALPPS vs. TSH for CRLM" - RCT.

Preparations for the start of the study are currently under way, patient inclusion in our department starts from 1st of May 2016.
